The stamp is cancelled during an official ceremony at INCOSAI, on Wednesday. The Federal Agency of Communication traditionally dedicates issues of postage notes to memorable historic anniversaries, outstanding events and major public and political organizations.
Certainly, they could not ignore this principal SAI event. The stamp shows the corporate design of the 23rd Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions.
‘Without any doubt, this is a crucial event. Both the Federal Agency of Communication and Marka Publishing House could not ignore it. This is a special way for us to celebrate it today. This issue will be sent to post offices across the country, abroad and remind of today's meeting, that Russia is going to be Chair of such a respected audit organization for the next three years,’ Oleg Dukhovnitsky, the Head of the Federal Agency of Communication, said during the official ceremony.
The issue of the stamp was 150,000. The stamp was cancelled with a special souvenir date stamp with the date of the main event, namely the inauguration of Russia as the Chair of INTOSAI that took place on September, 25, 2019.
At the end of the ceremony Mr Dukhovnitsky presented the Presidium members with commemorative frames with the cancelled stamps.
